Monday Christina had a doctor appointment. The drive is usually less than two hours. On the way there, traffic was heavier than usual. At the clinic I was informed there was a big accident not too far away which had caused delays for quite a bit of the morning. Lucky us.

On the way home, we managed to catch a little of rush hour. Just over two and a half hours to get home. Ugh. I usually don’t mind driving. On doctor appointment days my mind is elsewhere. Trying to process what we learned and focus on the right now can be a challenge.

A little insight to doctor appointments for special needs kids. There are no good appointments and usually no bad appointments. Most of Christina’s appointments I could make an argument either way. For example, this appointment. No good news. No bad news. Information I can use to make the next decision. And information I shared with the doctor. With which he will use to give us selective choices and options for next steps we can take.
